TRUE STORY: My son's Mini Cooper broke down, and the insurance company picked up the vehicle and towed it to one of their recommended BMW shops. The insurance company shop called for additional authorization of $150-$300 for further testing to determine if the engine needs to be replaced between $12,000 - $18,000. I declined and pick up the vehicle and took it to HAAS auto repairs. The owner, Billy, has worked on the car many times and provided excellent service. HAAS called me the next day, indicated they removed rear value cover & found the casing plugin cylinder head between the camshafts came out. I pick up the vehicle for a fair price.
